ABOUT US

We're on a mission to reinvent sleep apnea care

Our mission

Getting help when you need it should be easy. So should be getting a good night's sleep. That's why we're on a mission to reinvent sleep apnea care to help patients sleep successfully and live fully. By connecting one-on-one coaching, personalized information, and evidence-based interventions in one place, we provide immediate, personal support to anyone struggling with sleep apnea.

Our story

Somnea was founded to solve one problem: prevent people from failing to treat their sleep apnea. Through our experience in the sleep industry, we've witnessed countless patients struggle to adjust to CPAP and ultimately quit despite the repercussions this has on their lives. As wearable technology and virtual care has improved there is now an opportunity to help patients treat their sleep apnea successfully. At Somnea we connect patients to the correct data and the right team to find the support they need to succeed at treating their sleep apnea.

For our founder, James, this journey is also a personal one. James was diagnosed with sleep apnea 8 years ago at the recommendation of a friend. When starting therapy, he was mainly in the dark about what to expect, what to do, and where he could go for help. It wasn't until a year into treatment, after he joined the sleep industry for work, that he began to understand the solutions to his problems and where he could go for support. Now we are working to make sure no one is in the dark about treating their sleep apnea in the future.
